Year End Accounting
For limited companies, financial Year End accounting is a legal requirement. At the end of the financial year, correct and accurate information needs to be sent to HMRC and Companies House. There are various elements to Year End Accounts which we can help with. Requirements vary depending on the types of accounts that require filing. These could include micro entity accounts, abridged accounts, full accounts, or dormant company accounts. Our Year End services are available to any size of business, as well as those who are Self Employed. With our assistance, our clients are covered for all legal requirements and clients can rest assured that all accounting standards are met.
Statutory Accounts
Preparation is key. For the financial Year End of a company, we can arrange regular and pre-Year End meetings with you or your representative. This allows participants to plan ahead and put in place effective forward planning. This can help a business to plan ahead and show profitability. For those paying Corporation Tax, the relevant Tax Return to HMRC is the CT600. We can also help with this important documentation.

Companies House Deadlines
If you are a new limited company, then your first set of accounts is due at Companies House 21 months after your date of registration. Then Annual Accounts must be submitted to Companies House 9 months after the end of your Financial Year. If you are due to pay Corporation Tax, this must be paid 9 months and 1 day after the end of your accounting period. Your Company Tax Return must be filed 12 months after the end of your accounting period. Fines are expensive and can soon add up. In extreme circumstances, you can even be struck off.
Preparation
Preparation is the key and our proactive approach ensures your Year End is as stress free as possible. As we keep in regular touch with our clients, having all the correct paperwork (receipts, invoices and other documents) in place helps ease the process. Tasks that help with Year End include chasing overdue invoices, gathering bank statements, collating receipts, and updating employee data. Other elements include petty cash records, cheque books (if still used), credit card statements and any finance agreements.
If you have any loans, you’ll need a loan statement and details of any assets you’ve purchased for the business during the year in question. If you’ve sold or disposed of any assets, then the details are needed for Year End. Finally, let’s not forget mileage records, share dividends or drawings paid if relevant. Our trusted and professional team can help with all these aspects of Year End accounts.
